Unit 143 Major Milestones:
In November 2020, the Unit 143 Board of Directors elected new officers for 2021 as follows:
President: John Welte
Vice President: Mark Boswell
Treasurer: Kelly White
Secretary: Dennis Abeln
Unit 143 held its 2020 annual meeting via Zoom on January 7, 2021. Current Unit 143 membership is 1171 members, down 85 members from December 2019. Most of the losses occurred with players holding less than 500 total masterpoints. Unit financials remain sound.
The ACBL recently announced the cancellation of the 2021 Spring March Nationals in St. Louis because of the ongoing pandemic. Our thanks go to local NABC co-tournament chairs Mike Carmen and Kenny Bland, as well as the rest of the St. Louis NABC planning team, for their hard work in 2020 in organizing this event.
Unit 143 also extends congratulations to the other advancers in rank. (The complete list is available at www.unit143.org). Of particular note, Unit 143 would like to highlight those advancers to Gold Life Master and above.
