Illini Champaign Regional -- May 21-27, 2019

It's not too early to make plans for our Unit's annual regional tournament, coming up Memorial Day week in Champaign.

New I/N events: This year's schedule features an expanded Intermediate/Novice program with four Gold Rush Pairs, a new Gold Rush Teams and a new 0-2500 KO Teams. Expert speakers will present mini-lessons at 12:45, Thursday through Sunday.

Free workshop: Join us on Wednesday morning (10:30 to 12:15) for a free workshop with Bridge Bulletin columnist Karen Walker. "Profiting from Preempts" will offer self-quizzes, handouts and practical tips on how to tune up your preempts and cope with partner's.

Upgraded hotel rooms: We'll be playing at the same site (the former Hawthorn Suites), which has been remodeled and is now a Holiday Inn Suites. Bridge rate is $95 for a suite with kitchen, one or two beds, sleeper sofa and free wifi. Parking is free. Ask for the bridge rate when making reservations:  217-398-3400.  Please reserve early.

Check out the tournament web site for more details and a full schedule of events.
