Never forget that duplicate is a partnership game. Partner is going to be thinking about what you bid (or didn’t bid) and what you play (or don’t play). Try to make it easy for partner to make the right choice. Remember, the score will be for BOTH of you.
Ralph Britton and Bill Maack (left) won first place in Flight C, at the District 8 Finals of the North American Pairs championship. They posted more than 60% in each of the two sessions of the event (62.81% and 61.73%).
They will represent District 8 in the NAP National championship, in the Spring NABC to be held here in St Louis. Congratulations, gentlemen!
Another Unit pair (Flt C) who had a great game in
one session of the two was Susan Corley & Missy Ramey (68.75%)

Unit 143 has elected a new member to the Board of Directors, Mary Dolan.
Says Dolan: “I’m grateful to Donna Coker for running a truly great novice game, which I still think of as family. I appreciate all the A and B players who take the time to tell me ‘how the contract could have been made.’ I am fortunate to be a member of the Unit 143 bridge community where so many expert players display tolerance, patience and kindness at the tables. I look forward to serving on the board.”
Unit 143 also has a new roster of Officers: Debbie Romero, President; George Hawley, Vice President; Jeff Kopolov, Treasurer; Linda Siebert, Secretary.
