Congratulations . . .

to Mike Heins of Champaign, who had a BIG year of point winnings. Mike, who started the year with fewer than 1000 career points, earned 934.36 masterpoints during 2018. He won his category in the nationwide Mini-McKenney race, more than 270 points ahead of second place, and placed 96th of all ACBL members in the Barry Crane Top 500.

Mike had a full year of traveling and played with several different partners, including our Unit President Terry Goodykoontz of Tolono IL. He won eight Flight A regional events and quickly moved up the ranks from Bronze Life Master to Silver LM, ending the year as a Ruby LM.
