90+ and still going strong

When chatting with Alma Karas, an avid bridge player, at a recent weekly Tuesday bridge game in St Charles IL, we thought it would be nice to put a picture in my column about some of our "Over 90" players. 

In the photo are, left to right, Helen Neumark, Dorothy Halt and Caroline Volsted. Another regular player who is over 90, Virginia Witmer, is missing from this picture. 

All four ladies are very competitive and give other bridge players a run for their money. Both Caroline and Dorothy agreed that bridge is one way to keep one's mind sharp and is a good way of meeting new friends and nice people. Dorothy also said bridge offered a positive outlet after the death of her husband.

All four women are definitely an asset to the game of duplicate bridge!
