Page display & printing -- District 8 Advocate on the Web

http://advocate.district8acbl.com

For best viewing of the newsletter pages:

Close out any other frames that are occupying your browser display space. If you have a "Favorites" frame that uses up the left-hand column of your browser page, close it by clicking the boxed X on the top bar.

To print paper copies from your browser:

This site is designed with two frames -- the left-hand frame ("In this issue" heading) is a contents list of links to the articles, and the right-hand frame displays individual articles.

The easiest way to print an individual article (without the Contents frame), is to open the article in a new browser window. To do this, right-click on the article title (the link in the left-hand Contents frame) and choose "Open in new window" from the menu.  A new browser window will open with the article displayed in full-page size, without the Contents frame. If you have a pop-up blocker, you may need to disable it by pressing the CONTROL key on your keyboard when you open the new browser window.

To print the entire newsletter:

A printable version of the newsletter is available in an Adobe Acrobat (PDF) file. You'll need the free Acrobat Reader software to view and print this file. Acrobat is a widely used format for web documents, and the Acrobat Reader software may be already installed on your computer. If it isn't, you can download it here.

Once installed, Acrobat will start automatically whenever you click on any web document that's formatted in PDF. On this site, when you click the "Printable version" link at the bottom of the contents frame, Acrobat will display the file in the right-hand frame of your browser.

To print the Acrobat pages, use the Print command at the top of the Acrobat screen (instead of "Print" from your browser). You can print the entire contents or you can select individual pages. You can also use the Acrobat printing options to print two pages on one sheet.
