Paducah Duplicate Bridge Club
 

Paducah DBC is located at Echo Bridge Center, 1723 Kentucky Ave, Paducah, KY.  Jim Kallaher is contact person for the club -- (270) 444-6882.

The club holds games on Tuesday afternoon, Thursday afternoon and evening, Saturday afternoon, and bi-monthly on Sunday in an attractive and spacious facility.  The club is notable for an active teaching program and for running a sectional each year (Irvin Cobb Sectional, Sept 2nd – 4th, 2016) which features Kentucky hospitality and friendliness. Bridgepad scoring is used at the club's games with pre-duplicated hands.  Results and the hands may then be viewed for later self-analysis on-line.

Club members are known for enjoying parties on a frequent basis. The photos below were taken at a party on Kentucky Derby Saturday. Ladies playing that day wore hats; My Old Kentucky home was sung; Mint Juleps (virgin and non) and other refreshments were served; and club members drew names of entrants in the Derby. The member who drew the winning horse received a later free-play.

If you get a chance to play at this club, you will be made to feel most welcome.

Upcoming Unit 223 Events

♠ Regional Tournament -- The Effingham Crossroads Regional will be held in Effingham IL is coming on Monday, June 20th through Sunday, June 26th at the Thelma Keller Convention Center located at Exit 160, I-57. 
     Please note that although this is a split regional, full masterpoint awards are now being offered.  Paul Hartke is chairperson and can be contacted at palo@mchsi.com

♥ Sectional Tournament -- Edwardsville, IL, July 22nd – 24th
     The tournament is being held at the Knight of Columbus Hall, 7132 Marine Rd (Hwy 143), Edwardsville.  This is a three-day sectional, with play commencing at 1.30 Friday afternoon.
