Season's Greetings

The end of another year is approaching.  Here we are in the last month of masterpoint races. To see how you are doing, go to www.acbl.org and click on Masterpoint Races at the bottom of the page to check out the current leaders in your Unit.

But remember, anything can change during the last month in tight races!

Suggestion for a New Year’s Resolution:  ACBL is tightening up its cell phone policy. Phones (even turned off!) will no longer be allowed in the playing areas at NABCs. How about resolving to form a habit in 2009 of leaving your phone in the car (or hotel room) when playing in ANY ACBL-sponsored event? Including club games!

Tournament Relocated

The Saluki Swiss, scheduled to be held in Mt Vernon IL on February 7-8, is being moved to the Steamfitters Hall in Caseyville (Fairview Heights) IL. The Hall is located 1.4 miles north of I-64 on Route 159 North at the Fairview Heights Exit #12 (on the east side of 159 North). Ray Sigler (618-224-9606) will be chairperson.

The tournament will return to Southern IL in 2010.
