Fun at the club!

Ellen McCarville and Paul Brown (Jake and Elwood) were on a mission from God to play more bridge.

Barb Worden (center) got into the “habit” of playing bridge.

(left)  Mary Jo Sergent (left) bewitched us with her brilliant play and “swept” to many a victory.

Alice Robison: Life Master

Congratulations to Alice Robison for achieving the rank of Life Master. She attributes her success to "just staying with it" and having good partners. Kathy Owens, Jan Condon and Dennis Ryan have all contributed to helping Alice earn enough points to become a Life Master.

Alice and her husband were raised in West Bend, Indiana and are avid Notre Dame fans. They have lived all over the country, including periods of time, on both the east and west coast. The Robison's have two daughters, one residing in Arizona and the other living in the local area. Both of her daughters didn't inherit the bridge gene because neither of them plays the game. Roscoe, Illinois is now home for the Robisons.

You can see Alice Tuesdays and Thursdays afternoons playing at the Rockford Bridge Center. "I could play every day if it weren't for my other obligations." Alice related the Rockford Club is doing an outstanding job of attracting new, younger members and for offering instructive bridge classes. She also enjoys the friendly, social atmosphere of the Rockford Club.

Alice indicated she would like to fly under the radar, so I tried to abide by her request by keeping this interview short.
