Anybody who's missing bridge is missing so much in life."

Longest Day at Unit 143 Clubs

In partnership with ACBL and with Alzheimer’s Association, three St. Louis bridge clubs participated in the Longest Day.

At Bridge Haven, proceeds from two games plus donations
came to nearly $500. Pictured are Roseanne Stice,
George Marvin, game director Phyllis Siegel and Bob Daniels.

These players enjoyed their Longest Day
fundraiser game at Jay’s Bridge Pad.

At St. Louis Bridge Center, thanks to a heroic effort by chairpersons Linda Powers and Jane Ettelson,
close to $50,000 has been raised to date. In addition to morning, afternoon and evening games -- which totaled
85 tables of bridge -- a silent auction, raffle and private donations accounted for the spectacular results.

At left, St. Louis Bridge Center volunteers readied the snack table for Longest Day participants.

Phillip Alder at St. Louis Bridge Center

On June 9th and 10th, St. Louis Bridge Center hosted Phillip Alder, renowned educator, former NY Times bridge columnist and current monthly contributor to the ACBL Bridge Bulletin.

Pictured at left is Alder being introduced by Ann Lemp, St. Louis Bridge Center Board President.

Alder treated attendees to a rich learning experience as he focused on the topics of Competitive Bidding, Second and Third Hand Play, and Placing the Missing Cards.

Senior Olympics hosted at St. Louis Bridge Center
