Illini Champaign Regional -- May 22-28, 2018

Make plans now to join us for our annual regional at Hawthorn Suites in Champaign. The schedule features two two-session morning Swiss Teams and three of the popular Gold Rush Pair events for 0-750 players. You can check out the 2017 events and find links on the tournament schedule page.

The Hawthorn bridge rate ($95) includes free hot breakfast buffet, free wifi and use of the fitness center, hot tub and indoor pool. Pet-friendly. Parking is free, and there are many restaurants within walking distance.

Hawthorn reservations: 217-398-3400. Ask for the bridge rate and please reserve early. Rooms with two beds sell out quickly, but all rooms have sleeper sofas to accommodate two or more guests.

In Memory

Dan Requard of Springfield died on December 16 at age 72.

A Life Master with more than 7600 points, Dan previously lived in Peoria, Chicago and Hot Springs AK. He was retired from a career as a sales representative in the medical and telecommunications industries.
 

Carl Brueckner of Champaign died on February 25. He was 83.

Originally from Chicago, Carl was a real-estate investor and property manager. He was a Life Master with more than 3700 points and was a regular player at the Bridge at Ginger Creek club in Champaign.

Our condolences go out to Mary, Carl's wife of 32 years, and his daughter Cinthia and three grandchildren.
