Unit 239 News

Last year, ACBL Members participated in more than 14,000 charity games at their local clubs. The money earned from these special games benefits the ACBL Charity Foundation in their effort to make a difference in the local communities of ACBL members. A total of $277,500 was donated by members, through the ACBL Charity Foundation, to support 78 local charity organizations within their home communities.

“I chose the Geneva Food Bank since it distributed food to pretty much the same area our bridge unit covers,” said Unit 239 president, Karl Dencker. “We have ten bridge clubs within our unit and each frequently holds a weekly charity game with proceeds benefiting the ACBL Charity Foundation. This year’s $6,000 donation is extra and something special.”
